Fire Elementals

These creatures are residents of the elemental plane of fire, and unless encountered there, are VERY angry they've been summoned away from their home. They will destroy everything in their path, hoping that some sort of powerful creature will be annoyed by their violence and send them home (by killing them).

Basic underlings to other fire Elementals, they can only muster enough energy to summon underlings as they die.

Leaders of Mephit mobs, there are rarely multiple of these monsters unless a Magma Mephit King is present or they are summoned by other powerful monsters. They also almost always travel with Magma Mephit (minions). Their mobs of Mephits travel the material plane, burning down crops, forests, and towns until they are slain.

A minor Phoenix is the young form of one of the most powerful fire Elementals, a Phoenix. When they die, they do not die - but scatter in the wind as ash. That ash will then reform into a Phoenix is D6 days.

This makes it hard for Phoenix's to achieve the goal of all elementals on the material plane - returning to their home plans by dying. As such, Phoenix's are extremely unhappy but unlikely to be going on rampages like other elementals.
