All shields may use Shield Style Weapon Techniques. In addition, wielding shields grants the following bonus: When Defending while holding a shield, parry your attacker for your shield’s Armor.
Ricoshield
Tier 1, Multi-TargetThrow your shield up to your Range. It may bounce up to 3 times and move again up to 6 spaces per bounce. If the shield bounces towards you as the target, you catch it and recover 2 Stamina per d4 of dealt damage, up to 2xDEX Stamina. On miss: your shield falls to the ground.
Embargo-ad
Tier 2, AoECreatures within Reach are Taunted by you, Bloodied creatures are Frightened of you. Creatures frightened of you cannot willingly move away. You may Defend against Taunted or Frightened creatures 1/Turn for free, up to 2 instances. After this, all creatures Taunted or Frightened of you lose those conditions.
Overbash
Tier 3, Single Target+Deal your Armor as damage and push a target 3 spaces. When this target hits another creature, instead of splitting the damage bonus, the pushed target takes the full Forced Movement damage and the second creature is pushed the remaining number of spaces. Large size and larger creatures take 1d6 per space that is pushed against a wall (Large creatures are 2x2, they take 2d6 damage per space of Forced Movement), and they can push multiple smaller creatures at once.
Shield Surf
Tier 4, SelfYou unequip your shield and begin Riding it. During this time you cannot ride other creatures, and all damage against you is decreased by your shield’s Armor. When you are hit with a Reach attack, you move the taken damage up to your shield’s Armor in spaces for free. Damage taken from Forced Movement/Falling is nullified.
