Technique Scrolls

Techniques your players can learn to further increase their combat skills.

Uncommon technique

Your attacks with Bludgeoning weapons ignore temporary HP and damage the target's normal HP instead.

This technique can be learned by studying the scroll (upon which the scroll magically dissapears) or taught to you by a master of the technique.

Very Rare technique

All spaces within your weapon's reach are difficult terrain for your enemies.

Rare technique

If an attack misses you while dual wielding, you can make an opportunity attack.

This technique can be learned by studying the scroll (upon which the scroll magically dissapears) or taught to you by a master of the technique.

When attacking with a ranged weapon, you can spend an extra action to increase the primary die by 2.

Very Rare technique

(1/encounter) After rolling an attack decide if the primary die is the leftmost or the rightmost.

Very Rare technique

If you crit a creature with a thrown weapon it is blinded until the end of it's next turn.

This technique can be learned by studying the scroll (upon which the scroll magically dissapears) or taught to you by a master of the technique.

Rare technique

When you kill a creature with a melee attack, you can carry over the excess damage to another creature within your reach.

This technique can be learned by studying the scroll (upon which the scroll magically dissapears) or taught to you by a master of the technique.

Rare technique

For each attack (after the first) that you hit the same creature with an unarmed strike, you deal DEX extra damage.

Uncommon technique

When attacking a prone creature with a STR weapon, roll one extra die of damage.

This technique can be learned by studying the scroll (upon which the scroll magically dissapears) or taught to you by a master of the technique.

+1 defense and advantage on DEX saving throws, if you are only wielding light weapons and aren't wearing a shield or plate/mail armor.

+2 speed if you are only wielding Light weapons and are not wearing mail or plate armor-

(1/encounter) When an enemy attacks you, you can reduce it's primary die by 1 (if wielding a DEX weapon)

Uncommon technique

(if using the deflect optional rules) You can use your deflect on adjacent allies.

When you hit a creature at least 1 size larger than you with an unarmed strike, your crit hit threshold is reduced by 1.

Rare technique

Being adjacent to a creature doesn't give you disadvantage on your thrown weapons.

(1/safe rest) After your attack crits you can decide to make it vicious.
